A Letter to the Editor (excellent letter) ???So many letter writers have explained how this land is made up of?immigrants. May be we should turn to our history books and point?out to people why today's Canadian is not willing to accept the new?kind of immigrant any longer.???Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of?Europe?to come?to?? Canada
, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in? Halifax ?and be documented. Some would even get down on their?hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold?the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They?made learning English a primary rule in their new Canadian households?and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.?They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new?life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate?into?one culture.???Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor?laws?to protect them. All they had were the skills, craftsmanship and desire?they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.???Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out.?Canadians fought along side men whose parents had come straight?over from Germany , Italy, France, Japan , Czechoslovakia , Russia,?Sweden, Poland and so many other places. None of these first generation?Canadians ever gave any thought about what country their parents?had come from. They were Canadians fighting Hitler, Mussolini and?the Emperor of?? Japan. They were defending the Freedom as one people.?When we liberated?? France, no-one in those villages was looking for the?Ukrainian-Canadian or the German-Canadian or the Irish-Canadian.?The people of?? France?saw only Canadians.???And we carried one flag that represented our country. Not one of those?immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another?country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would?have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to?be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be a Canadian.?They stirred the melting pot into one red and white bowl.???And here we are in 2008 with a new kind of immigrant who wants the?same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing?with a different set of rules, one that includes a Canadian passport?and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I'm sorry,?that's not what being a Canadian is all about. Canadians have been?very open-hearted and open- minded regarding immigrants, whether?they were fleeing poverty, dictatorship, persecution, or whatever else?makes us think of those aforementioned immigrants who truly did?ADOPT our country, and our flag and our morals and our customs.?And left their wars, hatred, and divisions behind. I believe that the?immigrants who landed inCanada?in the early 1900s deserve better?than that for the toil, hard work and sacrifice those legally searching?for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being?used as an example by those waving foreign country flags, fighting?foreign battles on our soil, making Canadians change to suit their?religions and cultures, and wanting to change our countries fabric?by claiming discrimination when we do not give in to their demands.???Its about time we get real and stand up for our forefathers rights, we?are CANADIAN Lest we forget it!!!?I am a?Native of this Country & proud of it!????????????? Change ... Change . Change!!!!!!!!!!
Not long ago I read a joke ... It said all the politicians running for Priminister are promising change to the Canadian people. We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and they send us the change.
Funny?
Not really; there is too much truth in it to be funny.
That got me to thinking ... They all promise change. How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather than change. A restoration that would take us back in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and life was more enjoyable. Change? That, in truth, is what they have been giving us all along.
We used to have a strong dollar .... Politicians changed that.
Marriage used to be sacred ... Politicians are changing that.
We used to be respected around the world ... Politicians changed that.
We used to have a strong manufacturing economy ... Politicians changed that.
We used to have lower tax structures ... Politicians changed that.
We used to enjoy more freedoms .... Politicians changed that.
We used to be a large exporter of American made goods ... Politicians changed that.
We used to teach patriotism in schools ... Politicians changed that.
We used to educate children in schools ... Politicians changed that.
We used to enforce LEGAL citizenship ... Politicians changed that.
We used to have affordable food & gas prices ... Politicians changed that, too. ... and one could go on and on with this list.
What hasn't been changed, politicians are promising to change that as well if you will elect them.
When, oh when, is Canada going to sit back with open eyes and look at what we once were and where we have come and say, enough is enough?
The trouble is, Canada's youthful voters today don't know of the great Canada that existed forty and fifty years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed, as it is now.
When will we wake up? Tomorrow may be too late. When will Canada realize ... Politicians are what is wrong with Canada?
What is needed is for the constitution to be amended to limit all Senators and other politicians to two terms.

A real Canadian Woman

This was written by a Canadian woman, but oh how it also applies to the U. S. U.K. and Australia THIS ONE PACKS A FIRM PUNCH
Here is a woman who should run for Prime Minister! Written by a housewife in New Brunswick, to her local newspaper. This is one ticked off lady. 'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since? Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from the nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency. I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11. I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan. I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat. I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques. I'll care when the mindless zealots who blows themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
I'll care when the Canadian media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting a home to hear about them when something happens.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a CANADIAN soldier roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care. When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care. sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' 9/11 suspect: 'I wish to be martyred'

Finally a terrorist that knows that we know what he really is. The problem here is that this pig thinks he has the right to make any sort of demand. Tell me you would not give your left one to be the judge on this case. I know I would and I know exactly how it should be handled.
Agree that he is to be executed. Then explain to him and all his buddies how they and everyone that follows their way of doing things will be "martyred". That will be by firing squad. Now the fun part that all none Muslims will smile about. You show them all the hollow point bullets to be used. Then I would have a pig brought in and a syringe of blood extracted and the bullets filled with the blood. Keeping some of the cameras on their faces, tell them god is great and it will be up to him to allow the pigs blood into his heaven.
Then I would send a copy of each and every execution to every arab nation telling them to get their terroristsunder control and that we will no longer put up with it. The nations of birth are the ones that should be held accountable in the future. Hillary Clinton makes my skin crawl but the idea of obliterating Iran has a nice ring to it.

If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers! "I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?"The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of "a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar."He sheepishly replied, "Yes."I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!"The Imam was speechless!I continued, "I also have problem with being your 'friend' when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! These are the guys on trial. They are not and never were Canadian. They don't know whqat being Canadian means. Everyone slightly related to these pigs should be deported. So America doesn't like NAFTA...

NAFTA is unpopular among many blue collar workers in the United States who say it has cost American jobs. .......

The factories that moved to Mexico have people that work hard for very little wage and no benefits. The factories that came north of the border have great benefits, most have pension plans and the workers are a lot better than either the Mexicans or the Americans. Put simply the Canadian worker kicks American butt so they want their politicians to protect them.
The Ford workers can't understand why we would want to by a Honda made of the best steal in North America instead of the steal used in Ford and GM that is known as "seconds". The steal that isn't good enough for Honda and the others is what is used at Ford and GM.
Bottom line is given an even playing field Canada has and always will kick American butt in anything we both get involved in. Face it America your just not as good as you think you are and your just not worth the trouble. There is nothing we sell in the US that can't sell to the rest of the world. It might be a bit more of a logistical headache but it can be done. If you want to make your most important customer angry go ahead and elect that big mouth and her sexually abusive husband. If you want a partner to face the evils of the modern world, someone who will stand beside you and not just hold your coat, then you will ignore your manipulative media and vote for Obama. It is that simple.

NDP demands RCMP probe into Obama leak

Can you imagine having a government that just stood up in the house of commons and looked at Jack Layton and said "NO"? Of coarse he would go absolutely ballistic and demand to know why, and while pointing a crooked finger say "what are you hiding?". Can you imagine having a prime minister that just stood up and said "We are not going to spend hundreds of thousands of tax payers dollars just to prove to the NDP and the cowardly Liberals there was nothing to find"? How cool would that be? Even if they did find some sub staffer blowing wind with a sub staffer in the Obama campaign? God forbid we have people in Washington who are actually looking out for Canadian interests. Layton and Dion would want them strung up by the neck! Think about this. Americans are even more stupid than we are when it comes to politics. I know that seems hard to swallow but look who they put in office a second time!!
We need to ask ourselves as Canadians, do we want a government like Laytons that would make demand after demand (and get nothing) or one like Dions that votes for stuff in the house (and then like the cowards they are) puts it down in the press and screams about how wrong it is in the TV media? Or do we want Mr. Harper who has set up a system of staff in Washington to keep our finger on the pulse so to speak and be able to look after our contacts with a country that makes up 86% of our economy. Don't forget it was this government that got the wood and the beef flowing south of the border again and saved both industries from disaster, after the Liberals had all but destroyed our relationship with them.

Our National Anthem ..not that too!!!

I'm posting this because there has been a request that the national anthem should be sung in different languages for those new Canadians because it is sung only in English or French.

I am sorry, but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Hindi - enough is enough. No where or at no other time in our nation's history, did they sing it in Italian, Japanese, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German, Portuguese, Greek, or any other language because of immigration. It was written in English, adapted into co-founding French, and should be sung word for word the way it was written.
The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close.
I am not sorry if this offends anyone, this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP! Please pass this along~
I am not against immigration -- just come through like everyone else. Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and LONG LIVE CANADA!

Ok , lets think about this and put it in perspective and context. No writer in Canada is going to give it to you in the proper way, they think we are stupid. The Parliament has an important vote coming up that could finally get the incompetent liberal party out of office. They have an independent who has said openly he is not going to vote with the PCs. They also know he is dieing of cancer and because of the timing of some stupid election he will lose some insurance coverage.
Anyway in the same way that the liberals went to that rich twit in a skirt and told her if she crossed the house she would get a cabinet seat, a couple of PC underlings tell Mr. Harper they are going to make an offer to the dieing MP. The real question being over looked here is how does he react. He tells them "go ahead and try but Chuck has already made up his mind".
This sort of thing goes on all the time by all the parties. We have to ask ourselves is doing what is normal for politicians (being unethical and a liar) reason enough to drop the best prime minster we have had in twenty years? When the Liberals were being elected time after time promising to scrap the GST , did they? NO! This government has chopped a big piece out of it and is working on the rest. Our dollar is worth more (good or bad) today than it has been worth in over fifty years. The pluses with this government go on and on. Can you imagine what they could get done with a majority government?
The liberals refuse to vote against a budget one day and then spend the next day screaming about how bad it is and our media moguls give them the lime light!! Why don't they call a spade a spade and make the head lines THE COWARDLY LIBERALS REFUSE TO VOTE THEIR BELIEFS AGAIN ......?
Has anyone noticed how Bob Rae(spelling? like I care) is getting stopped everyday for questions now? It's my guess that if the liberals actually grow enough spine to elect a leader (and I use the label leader for lack of a better one) he will be kicking Dion out of his seat. It amazes me the way we forget how he hosed Ontario with just one term in office. I think we are still paying off his bad financial judgement.

Ever notice how these anti PC anti Canadian articles written and posted on the net very seldom has a name associated with it? They could say your wife has HIV and you are spreading it around and there wouldn't be a thing you could do about it. You think you could just sue them and they would retract it and that would be it. Well your wrong. Nobody who knows you or your wife would ever look at you with the same confidence again.
With politicians generally perceived by the general public as somewhere between a Paramecium and a Leech all it takes is a single publication like that to change the vote of every uneducated immigrant running from a corrupt government and god knows Canada gets more than it's unfair amount of those. I mean how many Canadians immigrated to India or Pakistan last year?
What Canada needs is a viable forum for the truth and a way to punish the cowardly writers and editors that puke out these articles without giving a single bit of proof or name attached to the info. Our justice or court system is a joke and all you have to do is look at how many repeat offenders from other countries (and ours) are walking our streets to see that. Have we fallen so far, that alleged pillow talk between a husband and his wife is now considered proof of ill doing by the best government we have had in 12 years? How would you like it if some widow said her husband said you were a child molester to a writer and put it in a newspaper or all over the Yahoo home page for the world to see? Keeping in mind you need the public to keep your job.

I can't be the only one that sees the pattern here. We let them come to our beloved country to make a better life than they would ever have in their open air deficating, mud hut, rat infested pig stie of a country and what happens?
First they milk the social system for every dime they can to bring relatives here as well. Now that everyone and his neighbour are here in Canada they realise they didn't bring all their religeous biases and hatreds with them so they spark up some new ones. After all Canada is heaven to the politically correct, they can do anything as long as it doesn't defend Canada.
So with that in mind the turbin headed fanatics with nothing to do blow up a plane full of their back home enemys. Now the fun starts the families of the dead feel Canada should kill the people they "think" or "probably" did it. They DEMAND that we investigate until we agree with them and the politically correct go silent. Does that end it? No way! The suspects are arrested and found innocent. Actually they just didn't have the evidence to find them guilty.
So whos fault is that? Oh thats the systems fault, or thats the goverments fault and that means it's the fault of every god feering, patriotic Canadian and they should pay. That is the way the politically correct think.
Why can't we have a goverment that says sorry you have been suspect in a major crime and until we find out what happened you and your family will be deported back to where you come from. Why should all Canadians pay for the actions of a few. It is so hard for real Canadians to keep swallowing the hatred and the religeous demands. We have given up so much and gotten so little in return.
